The rhythm of the year in the natural world

The spring often ushers in a burst of renewal. Many animals raise young as food becomes plentiful. Milder weather awaken this surge.

The turning year shape the lives of countless animals. Turns in temperature act as triggers for behavior. Across the wild, life flows to this timeless rhythm.

Autumn is a season of preparation. Animals gather food for the lean months ahead. A number start their journeys.

The summer is a time of abundance for much of the wild. Young fatten quickly while food is rich. A great many creatures build reserves for harder times.
